- Extra weight along 7 inches of edge does the splitting work a lighter blade would have to saw at.
- A flat, level edge tracks straight through wide cuts without wandering off line.
- The core steel is VG-10, heat-treated until the Rockwell tester reads 60 ±2, which keeps sharpening sessions rare.
- 67 layers of Damascus cladding surface as a flowing grain that no two blades repeat.
- At close to 9 oz, the extra heft is what gets it through dense cuts, not brute force from the wrist.
